A new feature of "MetaQuest": editing Office documents with VR
Meta and Microsoft collaboration enhances VR user experience

Microsoft has made its Microsoft Office suite available to users of Meta Quest smart glasses (VR), so that they can edit and write text within Word documents, create and view table documents in Excel, and run and create interactive presentations on PowerPoint.
As Meta announced at its developer conference last year, the company's collaboration with the software giant will open the way for Quest smartglass users to continue editing work documents.
Microsoft Office apps have already appeared on the Meta Quest Store for its Meta Quest Store, all of which are free.
The new apps are compatible with the first version of Oculus Quest, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3.
At last year's Meta Connect 2022 conference, Microsoft Administrator Satya Nadella emphasized the depth of the relationship between Microsoft and the smart glasses manufacturer, noting that Teams messaging services between teams and Outlook email will also reach Meta Quest glasses soon.

Typing problems
Taking advantage of Microsoft's new apps on Meta Glasses requires the user to log in with their Microsoft account.
It is expected that users will have a smooth and fast experience to play various Microsoft Office application files on Meta Quest glasses, because the files are opened and run on Microsoft's servers, and therefore the data processing process that takes place on the glasses itself is very limited.
Despite this, a report published by The Verge explained that some users suffered from problems with typing and interacting with new applications on board Meta glasses, because some interfaces and icons were not designed specifically for VR, some elements appear very small and non-interactive, in addition to the difficulty of typing on the Meta virtual keyboard within Microsoft Office applications, and therefore typing will need for a long time that the user uses a wireless keyboard connected via Bluetooth to his glasses.
Microsoft recently announced the availability of a new version of its Xbox Game Pass cloud service aboard the Meta Quest smart glasses, allowing players to enjoy interactive games inside their glasses for a monthly subscription.
