Microsoft provides Word with smart features from Copilot

Microsoft has announced that it will equip its Word program with new features from its smart assistant "Copilot", aimed at improving the paraphrasing and translation capabilities of texts.
The update includes a new feature called "Draft on Selection", which allows users to improve, expand or convert specific pieces of text within the document, according to the official website of the company's community.
The new update allows users to select the text they want to edit and request changes from CoupaLot, and the options range from paraphrasing, adding details or statistics, changing formats (such as converting a list to paragraphs), updating content for different audiences (such as adapting to readers in the US), and even reorganizing information by adding titles and bullets.
Previously, options for paraphrasing were limited to a few settings, such as rewriting a section in a more formal way, but users can now type exactly what they want to happen to the text, and Copyalot will try to implement it.
Microsoft plans to improve the new feature
Microsoft plans to add further improvements to the "Draft on Selection" feature in the coming months, including a faster way to replace the original text with modified text, and the ability to revert to content from other files.
The company is also exploring options to preserve formatting and enable CoupaLot to apply formatting to new content.
As Coupalot continues to evolve, these new features will be integrated into Draft on Selection as well.
The new functionality in Word is available on Windows, Mac and the web, but access to it requires a Copilot Pro subscription in addition to a Microsoft 365 subscription.
