Apple has released macOS 14.4.1, an update dedicated to fixing multiple macOS Sonoma issues on Mac computers.
This new update comes 3 weeks after the launch of the macOS 14.4 update, which caused many problems in Mac computers, and raised many complaints after its launch.
According to Apple, macOS 14.4.1 update fixes an issue that could cause external displays connected to computers via USB ports to not be recognized.
The update also addresses an issue that may cause applications that use Java to quit unexpectedly, and fixes another issue that may cause audio module plug-ins for professional music apps to not open.
These three issues are among the most prominent problems that Mac users have complained about since the launch of the macOS 14.4 update, and Oracle warned users about the Java problem in particular last week, advising them to postpone the update to macOS 14.4 until the problem is fixed.
In addition to fixing previous issues, the new update fills some other vulnerabilities in the system.
The new macOS 14.4.1 update can be downloaded on all eligible Macs by going to the Software Update section in System Settings, and Apple has also provided the macOS 13.6.6 update for users who are still using macOS Ventura to benefit from security fixes.
Apple has also released a number of sub-updates to its various devices for some minor fixes.
