Apple announces the date of the iPhone 16 launch event

Apple has announced the date of its most important event of the year on September 9 at 8 pm Mecca time. The event, themed "It's Glowtime," will take place at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Apple Park. Apple will display its latest devices, starting with the new iPhone 16 series, along with the latest version of its smartwatch and new versions of its AirPods.

As the event approached, some details of the iPhone 16 series began to emerge, as leaks and press reports indicated a combination of design updates and some important internal additions to the new phones. The iPhone 16 series will likely retain much of the clear design language that appeared in the iPhone 15 series with some minor tweaks.

Perhaps one of the obvious changes expected is the new arrangement of camera lenses vertically in regular versions of the iPhone 16, which is similar to the camera arrangement in iPhone 12 phones, a change from the diagonal order used in recent years on the iPhone.

Also, one of the most prominent changes expected in the new series is the increase in the screen size of the professional version "iPhone 16 Pro", as this version is expected to come with a 6.3-inch screen, while the screen of the "iPhone 16 Pro Max" will see an increase in size up to 6.9 inches. If those predictions are correct, it will be the first time that the screen size of professional versions of the iPhone has increased in several years.

The "photo capture key" – which will come on the right side of the phone – is a new addition to enhance the phone photography experience. The switch will work similarly to a regular camera switch, providing haptic feedback that mimics the feeling of a real camera key, and the pressure-sensitive design allows you to control focus and capture images at different pressure levels, making it easy to accurately capture photos and videos.

In terms of performance, the iPhone 16 series is expected to come with Apple's new "A18" processors that rely on 3-nanometer manufacturing technology, and these processors are expected to provide several clear improvements in both the efficiency and processing capacity of the phone.
