Microsoft's ChatGPT competitor. Bing Chat became a Copilot
The company introduces new artificial intelligence tools that serve the business sector

Microsoft announced changing the name of its smart dialogue platform "Ping Chat" to "Copilot", and introduced the Copilot Studio platform, which allows its users to create their smart personal assistants, in the face of the services of OpenAI, which launched ChatGPT and GPTs.

This came during Microsoft's annual developer conference Ignite 2023K, which also saw the presentation of a number of "gadgets" that help increase productivity for teams on the Teams employee communication program, which also saw the company launch a version dedicated to VR glasses.

ChatGPT Competition
Although Microsoft was initially focused on using artificial intelligence to enable Bing to compete with Google, the decision to change the name Ping Chat to Coupalot suggests that Microsoft has shifted its focus to ChatGPT.

Microsoft explained that "Coupaellot" will be the official name of its smart personal assistant across its various services, pointing out that its services will be available to users through the search engine "Bing", in addition to an independent site, as is the case with Chat GPT.
The company indicated that "Cobelt" will be available to the business sector through its office applications package Copilot for Microsoft 365.

Summarizing meetings
The company also introduced a number of new features, specifically within meetings, as "Coupaellot" will be very useful for taking notes and summarizing everything mentioned in meetings, as well as an organized presentation of the most important points that have been focused on, with the possibility of writing down everything that a specific person from the participants in the meeting says, so that the user can refer to them later.
In addition, notes or meeting summary can be transformed into a distinct visual organization within the Microsoft Whiteboard service, with the ability to share them with those present.
By March 2024, Coupalot will be able to prepare for future meetings, by calling information from Outlook as well as Microsoft's calendar service, along with collecting the necessary documents and information.

Optimize video calls
Teams will also get features to make video conferencing meetings appear better, as subscribers to Microsoft's paid office services will get the Decorate Your Background feature, which uses artificial intelligence to improve the user's background appearance in his real place, such as adding some digital elements to his room to make them appear better.
Decorate Your Background is expected to arrive by early 2024.

Sound insulation
Also, by the end of this year, Teams users will get a voice isolation feature, so that the user ensures the clarity of his voice during meetings, regardless of the noise surrounding him, as artificial intelligence will focus on separating and strengthening sound to be louder than all other sounds.

Image Design
At the PowerPoint service, the user will be able to rely on Copailot to design and edit images, by linking it to the company's image database, or by relying on the Microsoft Designer image editing service.
CopyLot will also help users keep track of the most important modifications to their documents in Word.

Teams inside virtual reality
Three years after its launch, Microsoft Mesh is back to create augmented and virtual reality experiences, delivering a unique meeting experience aboard Teams in virtual reality.
The service allows those who use any virtual or mixed reality glasses to participate in meetings within a full three-dimensional world, so that participants in those meetings can interact with different elements within multiple digital environments, which users can choose from.
