Sony FX3 Full-Frame Cinema Camera

The Sony FX3 is a compact, full-frame cinema camera designed for solo shooters and travel applications, combining features from both the Cinema Line and Alpha series to deliver high-quality video performance. It features a 12.1MP Exmor R CMOS sensor paired with a BIONZ XR processor, enabling UHD 4K video recording up to 120p and 16-bit raw output over HDMI. The camera also supports S-Cinetone, S-Log3, and HLG color profiles, making it ideal for cinematic color grading and HDR productions

The FX3 offers a Fast Hybrid AF system with 627 points, Eye AF, and subject tracking for sharp focus during solo shooting. It supports 4K recording with up to 240p in HD and internal 10-bit 4:2:2 recording. The camera is equipped with dual SD card slots supporting CFexpress Type A and SDXC cards, as well as a built-in silent fan for continuous recording.

Additionally, the camera features a detachable XLR handle for professional audio input, allowing up to 4-channel, 24-bit audio recording. Its cage-free design enables direct mounting of accessories to the camera, making it easy to operate with one hand. The FX3 also supports remote control via Imaging Edge Mobile and Imaging Edge Desktop apps for file transfers and camera control.

The camera provides post-production stabilization with Catalyst Prepare software, which helps to reduce shake in footage. The FX3 is an ideal choice for filmmakers who require high-quality cinematic features in a lightweight, portable setup without the bulk of traditional rigs.
